DORA held a co-creation workshop on 2 Dec 2025 as one of the side events leading up to the EU High-Level Conference on Reforming Research Assessment. 

The goal for the workshop, which was part of a series of workshops hosted by DORA, was to refine the Practical Guide for Implementing Responsible Research Assessment at Research Funding Organisations. 

The workshop started with a panel discussions on diverse voices driving reform followed by a Q&A with a focus on the function funders perform. Thereafter followed two breakout sessions focusing on the draft of the RFO guide. 

To sum up and visualize the discussions during the workshop,  graphic designer Kristine Kolling made a visual recording of the discussions and breakout sessions. Please see below the visuals from the workshop.

Based on the outcome of the workshop DORA together with the Global Research Council RRA Working Group (GRC RRA WG) and Science Europe will finalize the practical guide for funding organisations with a target release in May 2026.
